Jim’s Property Maintenance LLC

Say goodbye to pesky mosquitoes and other unwanted pests with Jim’s Property Maintenance’s professional pest control services. Our skilled team uses effective and targeted treatments to create a comfortable, pest-free outdoor environment for you and your family to enjoy to the fullest.

At Jim’s Property Maintenance (JPM), our pest control applicators are all fully certified and licensed within the state of Wisconsin. Our mosquito applicators are well-trained and thorough. We take care and pay attention to detail with every job we do. As such, we avoid spraying areas with actively blooming plants or fruiting trees, or gardens to reduce the likelihood of harming non-target, beneficial insects like bees and butterflies.

Our mosquito product blend is truly superior and sets us apart. It has a longer residual efficacy and two modes of action to ensure the best control available on the market. Three applications of our product provide the same length of control as 5-6 applications of our competitors’ products. Due to its effectiveness, we actually schedule fewer trips to our customers’ properties. By spraying a better-quality product with less frequency, we further help protect beneficial insects.

Our pest control services in Northeast Wisconsin further help rid your property of:

Chinch Bugs, Grubs, Mole Crickets, Ants, Cutworms, Mosquitoes, Ticks, and More!

We also offer Perimeter Pest Control and Lawn Insect Control. Contact us today and begin enjoying your outdoor space to the fullest, minus any pests standing in your way.

Our Pest Control Services Process

When you hire Jim’s Property Maintenance for pest control, the service typically involves a three-step process:

1. Initial Assessment
Generally, a member of our team will visit your property to conduct a thorough inspection. This involves identifying the types of pests present and assessing the level of infestation. They will look for signs of pests in typical problem areas like lawns, flower beds, and nearby structures. The professional will also evaluate environmental factors contributing to the pest problem, such as moisture levels, shaded areas, or specific plants that may attract pests.

2. Custom Treatment Plan
Based on the inspection, a tailored treatment plan is developed. This plan will specify the types of treatments to be used (like insecticides or natural alternatives), areas of focus, and the frequency of treatment. The plan is designed to address the specific pest issues on your property while considering safety for people, pets, and non-target species. For instance, treatments may involve spot-treating affected areas, applying soil treatments, or using sprays on foliage.

3. Implementation and Monitoring
The pest control service is then carried out according to the plan. This might involve one-time treatments or a series of applications over a period. Post-treatment, the professional will monitor the effectiveness of the control measures, making adjustments if necessary. They will also provide advice on preventive measures and best practices for ongoing maintenance to reduce future pest problems.

Throughout this process, we explain each step, provide safety information about the treatments used, and offer guidance on how to maintain a pest-free landscape.

Mosquito Control

Wisconsin is home to 55 different species of mosquitoes, some of which are capable of transmitting dangerous diseases such as malaria, yellow fever, Zika, and West Nile virus. Mosquitoes are responsible for over 700,000 deaths annually worldwide. These insects primarily feed on nectar, honeydew, and plant juices, but female mosquitoes require the iron in the blood to produce eggs, leading to their infamous “bites.”

Mosquitoes are particularly attracted to people with O-negative blood, heavy breathers, those with strong body odor and heat, and pregnant women. They are most active during calm, low light, and humid conditions and generally inactive during midday, when temperatures drop below 55 degrees, or when wind speeds exceed 15 mph.

So, how can JPM help you rid your property of pesky and bothersome mosquitos?

THE JPM MOSQUITO MANAGEMENT PROGRAM:

If you find mosquitos a problem or have concerns about them this season, we recommend signing up for 3 to 4 mosquito barrier applications for a full season of control. The first of these is immediately after trees and other greenery leaf out in mid-May. Applications are scheduled approximately 30 days apart and are only conducted in favorable weather conditions to ensure the effectiveness of our product.

All JPM applicators are licensed and certified by the DATCP to apply products that control mosquitoes and other aquatic pests. Our applications combat mosquitoes at different stages of their life cycle, providing immediate insect knockdown and long-lasting protection against mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, flies, and fleas.

Product Blend: Demand CS Insecticide & Archer Insect Growth Regulator:
Demand CS provides a knockout blow to adult mosquitoes that come into contact with treated surfaces. Meanwhile, Archer complements Demand CS by preventing mosquitoes still in the larval stage from reaching adulthood. This one-two punch delivers better control and longer residual efficacy than Talstar and Bifenthrin, the two most commonly applied products by other mosquito control services.

The superiority of our product blend is also clearly reflected in extensive experiments performed by university researchers and, moreover, in the positive feedback we receive from our clients!
