Fertilizer & Weed Control Technician (Application Specialist)
WHO YOU ARE:
Someone who enjoys working outdoors, doing physical labor, has good interpersonal and communication skills, takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and has an applicable state certification.
WHO ARE WE:
At Jim’s Property Maintenance LLC, we believe that organizations that provide the best workplace culture hire and retain the best staff. In turn, we believe the companies with the best staff deliver the best customer service.
The biggest component of our company culture is an incentivized compensation package called Pay for Performance (P4P). Additionally, we provide flexible work hours, competitive base pay, and quarterly company outings. We want our team members to understand that they’re part of a family that truly cares about their personal goals, values their contributions, and celebrates their success.
More on Pay for Performance (P4P):
– The objective of P4P is to remove the “pay ceiling” for employees and establish a meritocracy that allows high performers to excel
– P4P aligns the goals of the company and employees around improved efficiency and high-quality service
– P4P tracks the labor revenue (LR) that an employee brings in on a daily basis
– Team members earn a percentage of their labor revenue (varies by service)
– At the end of each pay period, this “percentage pay” is compared to their base pay, and the higher of the two amounts gets paid out
– The difference between percentage pay and base pay is “performance dollars”
– Pay period compensation cannot average less than an employee’s base hourly rate

ABOUT THE COMPANY
Jim’s Property Maintenance (JPM) was founded in the spring of 2020 during the onset of the COVID-19 crisis. As people spent more time at home, their attention shifted towards the condition of their outdoor living spaces, creating an opportunity for JPM to meet the increased demand for outdoor services. Since then, we have achieved success by focusing on our core values of exceptional client services, teamwork, and community involvement.
At JPM, we believe that respectful and transparent communication is vital to our success. Our management team regularly evaluates our business relationships, ensuring each one is beneficial for both parties involved. We also know that great things come from simplicity and collaboration. This means we focus on what we’re good at and gather feedback from customers and employees to improve our services continually. We aim to raise the standards within the lawn and landscape industry and become the go-to in the Northeast Wisconsin area.
Our core services include spring and fall clean-up, lawn care, lawn mowing, landscape installation, pest control, and snow removal. As our company grows, we continue to invest in new equipment and more credentials to better meet our clients’ needs.
At the end of the day, we take pride in delivering the best possible services to our clients. Our crew members meet weekly to share insights, recognize accomplishments, and ensure everyone is on the same page. We also utilize the best software in the industry to create personalized profiles for our clients and streamline onboarding, scheduling, and billing processes.
Additionally, it is our responsibility to give back to our local community by supporting other small businesses, sponsoring organizations and events, donating money and services to local fundraisers and organizations, and educating the general public about sustainable practices and environmental awareness. With JPM, you know you’re partnering with a local landscape and lawn care company that truly cares.
About the Owner
Native to northeastern Wisconsin, James grew up as an avid outdoorsman with a keen interest in the green industry and sustainability. After graduating from Peshtigo High School, he furthered his education with a BBA from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and a Technical Diploma in Landscaping and Horticulture from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. James’s appreciation of Wisconsin’s seasonality and passion for nature translated directly into his career as an outdoor service provider.
As such, within JPM, James focuses primarily on mentoring his employees, improving business operations, managing customer relationships, and educating his peers in the community about best practices. In his spare time, you'll find him out fishing one of his favorite streams or camping in the backwoods with friends and family.
